Moda Eva

Moda Eva is one of my favorite fabric lines.  It’s girly and offers great shades of purple, green, and pink.  Paisley, swirls, peacocks, polka dots, circles, and vines.

I’ve made potholders and quilts from this great line.

On the quilt I was really unsure what to do with it.  Took a few different layouts on the design wall.  The best layout is variegating the fabric from darkest to lightest.  I think it turned out pretty well.

October New Arrival

I LOVE making baby quilts.  A very good family friend asked me to create a signature square quilt for the arrival of her grand daughter.  She wanted greens and pinks.  With this quilt I have officially gone through my bright pink fabric stash.

I started with a 1.5″ and 2.5″ strips of a variety of fabrics.  Each square was completely different.

Needless to say grandma was happy with the end result.

News Thread 7.15

This week has been awesome.  I started a new job and I’m doing some off hours for training.  The best part is in two weeks I’ll be working 3pm-11pm so I can spend my mornings sewing.

Here is what I have been working to finalize all this week:

Custom Baby Quilt

I have everything ready to go on a couple more quilts, just need to sit down and do them.  I don’t have three days this week to just sit and sew.
