Need a New Dog Collar

I have asked Facebook and now I’m asking my readers.   My dog has destroyed her pale pink big box store collar, it’s not even pink anymore.

Please help me pick a new collar for my active hound…Chick.  She is a very unique dog that is very active.  I normally don’t talk about my dogs on here, but I LOVE fabric.

Check out the wonderful fabric selections you can get on these dog collars.  As I was searching Etsy I found some of my favorite fabrics as I was searching…Amy Butler, Moda, Michael Miller, Andover.  Tonight I made a Treasury on Etsy to showcase a few of the collars I liked.  Comment on here or on Etsy with your favorite.  I will make my selection on Friday.

Let’s support some artists/craftsmen and get Chick something awesome.

Loving the water.

She did not want to get out of the water.

Another Favorite Fabric Designer

Last fall I was obsessed with the Gobble Gobble line.  It was adorable and didn’t scream THANKSGIVING!!!  It is a great fall line with strong colors and details with the option of traditional fall decor.  Thank you Sandy Gervais

Well, she did not disappoint again this year.  For your Thanksgiving feast you can incorporate her line Awesome into your holiday buffet.  It is very similar to Gobble Gobble with a few tweaks for a fresh updated look.  Considering I bought all the of the Gobble Gobble charm packs I could, I expect to do the same with Awesome.  Fat Quarter Shop, can you run a special on them??

Ring in the Holiday season with the blend of Adoring fabrics.  I love that Sandy took traditional red and green and added in cream and blues for accents.  The fabrics are not overly Christmas, but suttle enough to be left out slightly after the Holiday has passed.  Too bad I don’t have a dining room table or else this line would be used for a cute tablerunner.

July is seriously starting this week, leaving only a few months to get the Christmas and Holiday projects complete.  Time to get busy and shopping.  Thanks again Sandy Gervais for creating wonderful lines that could be used outside of the Holiday season.

It's beginning to look like Christmas

Not really, but it has been chilly for the month of May in Indianapolis.  I have loaded my completed Moda Caroler quilted potholders to my Etsy page this evening.

No time to sew, had to spend time at my parents.  Instead I did take a few minutes to update.

Look for updates on Friday, work does not start until 3pm for me.  The plan now is to spend a couple of hours sewing.

Here is a preview of what I uploaded on Etsy tonight.  Have a quilty Thursday.

Charm Pack of the Month…Gobble Gobble

After a long day of work I arrived home to check my mailbox.  Inside was my monthly present to myself from FatQuarterWorld.  A new charm pack from Moda.

I started this last month and received Birdie.  Still haven’t decided what I’m going to do with it, but I’m considering vintage looking potholders.  Hmmm…any ideas??  You can see most of the fabrics on FQW.

This month though is Gobble Gobble.  I was pleasantly surprised that there are ZERO turkeys in this collection.  Instead, it is full of great fall colors and patterns.  I have some great accents already in my stash for this collection.  Potholders…here we come.  Or I might attempt my first table runner.  The ideas are running rampant.

Anything that I make for the holidays tends to not be very traditional.  Something you can sit out in your house that will allow it to blend in, but still stay “It’s Holiday Time.”  My goal with the Charm Pack of the Month is to use it only, no additionally purchased fabric unless it is already in my stash.

Let the creativity begin.  I’m anticipating what next month will bring.  Will I have a project completed with something from this month??

side note:  i used the photos from FQW, but if you click on the links, you will be taken to their page where you can purchase the charm pack.
