With all of my projects I end up with lots of scrap 5″ charm squares. As I was organizing my scraps months ago I found these charms in my bin. They are from Moda Rooftop Garden and Moda Simply Color. The prints are years apart but coordinate very well together. Chevrons and circles, Oh MY!
I made my half square triangles using this method. I tried to not make the pairings too matchy. When piecing the top I grabbed randomly and overall very happy with the result. There are a few rows that have some repeating fabrics next to each other, but that is a risk you run.
The quilt is backed in Kona Iron and quilted edge to edge beside the rows. There were not many half square triangles to start the project with so this is more of stroller or activity mat size. Maybe even a changing pad if we are being creative.
Hubby did mention as I was quilting it looks a little Florida Gatorish. That wasn’t the plan but I do see it. It’s for sale here in my Etsy shop.
