There is a quilt that has been buried in my list of projects that I have played around with a bit here and there. It’s my Echo quilt with Lotta Jansdotter’s 2011 fabric line. I bought the charms two years ago at her studio, see the link here, and still have not finished the project.
When packing for my sewing weekend I grabbed the bag it was in and threw it in my stash to complete. Most of the pieces had been sewn into strips and then left to wrinkle in a plastic bag. This is one of my favorite fabric lines, I feel like I’ve neglected it by putting it in a plastic bag.
The top has been pieced and ready to go. The backing is prepped is as well. It’s a great sheet I picked up from In Color Order a couple of years ago from her thrifted sheets. The print coordinates so well with the Echo line.
My goal for February is to get this quilted and bound. Now the hiccup is how am I going to quilt it? I’m open to suggestions. It’s already got a home once it’s complete.
