Hello Hello!!! This is an exciting week at our house.  We have not only been working on The Wedding Quilt, but we have a wedding to attend.  Our friends and neighbors are getting married this weekend.  We are very blessed to have them apart of our lives.

Hubby and I have been working to finalize most of the kitchen.  We still have a bit to do, but I can confidently say we are 95% done.  Everything has found it’s place in drawers and cabinets.  We have even tackled clearing out the back room.  There are a few cabinets left that I plan to put back there to help with storage.  Soon the reveal will happen.

This treasury caught my eye because it’s a POP of color.  From my pillows post a couple of weeks ago I mentioned liking items that provide a pop of color in a room.  The geometric pillows below are inspiring me to dig through my scraps and make something with solids.

Where has the summer gone?  Schools all around me have started back to school in the last couple of weeks.  I could use another 3 months of summer.  It’s been create weather which has allowed lots of family time and activities outdoors.

I’m obsessed with Mad Men.  We started watching the show when we moved to Florida and now it’s one of the only shows I actually watch when it’s being aired.  WHAT ever will I do until it returns?  Looks like Sunday nights are free to sew again.

Not only do I love the storyline and following a man throughout the years; seriously historical fiction is right up my alley.  And the way they incorporate relevant events of the time too.  BLISS for me.

The style and fashion are wonderful as well.  Can I borrow Joan’s wardrobe?  Megan’s would be great if I was 22-25 again, but add like 10 years to that and a baby.  Super short dresses are not toddler friendly.

This treasury could also be titled Vintage Modern.  That series is coming back once the kitchen is finished.  ALMOST there.  Look for a sneak peek next Monday.
