Rachael finished her version of the Bright Birch Quilts at the IMQG retreat last month. She did quilt as you go for each block and the back in a checkerboard pattern. She was so sick during the retreat from a cold that her medicines were making it hard to get the layout.
For those of us lucky enough to know Rachael, she loves color, the brighter the better. Here checkerboard is a yellow and pink. She went bold for the sashing and binding on the quilt. It’s a tomato orange-redish color. Honestly, the color scared me a bit, but this is perfectly her.
We followed the same pattern but have very different results. Love these together.
So much color and goodness. Wonder what blocks we could make next?
