The 100 Day Project Days 6-10

The 100 Day project

Welcome back.  Great response from readers on the Days 1-5.  It’s hard to stick with a project for 100 days, but this is manageable for me.  Visit days 1-5 here.

Day 6 – April 8th, 2018

Today I’m grateful my parents live close by.  We woke up to the house feeling cold.  Our furnace was running, but no heat was coming out.  Normally this wouldn’t be a huge issue in April, but the forecast was calling for snow and cold temps this week.  We packed the dogs, the kid was already there, and stayed with my parents.

We made dinner for them and I introduced my husband to the other ice cream place in town.  Still waking for his thoughts on which is best.

Day 7 – April 9th, 2018

We have wonderful friends.  A number of people offered their homes to my family since our furnace isn’t fixed.  It’s gonna be a few days.  We are okay with a couple of space heaters.  Rob and I have offices we can retreat to during the day.  P has school.  Our fur babies will be stuck here, but they sleep all day anyway.

It’s a great thing I’m a quilter.  We had a few just laying around for situations like this.  Pretty sure the cold was getting to me today.  This situation isn’t fun so we are making the best of it.

Day 8 – April 10th, 2018

Thanks for sticking with me through the furnace debacle.  It was ridiculous but our furnace is ANCIENT!  We know the time is coming to replace it.  Luckily, the tech was able to get back to us last night.  Rather than go home and spend time with his family, he chose to call us and get the job done.  Thank you kind sir for taking that time for us.

Day 9 – April 11th, 2018

Swings n slides.  Who can’t help but see the positivity in getting outside and playing?  Also, when did my kid become a teenager with his moods?  He looks so serious here.

Day 10 – April 12th, 2018

Yoga, lunch outside, windows down on the way home, kind singing in the backseat and nice weather.  It’s hard to pick one of those that truly stands out for the day.  However something amazing is happening in my neighborhood.  There is a road that has been riddled with potholes and has deteriorated with our crazy winter.  The moon’s surface may have been smoother than that road.  That is not an exaggeration.

TODAY THIS STARTED REPAVING IT!!!

Yes, that’s a shout.  I’m over here doing a happy dance about it.
