Stacked Bella Windmills Quilt

This week I wrapped up a gender neutral baby quilt I have been working on over the last month or so.  Another project I had going in the background.  Do you recognize the fabric?

It’s Lotta Jansdotter Bella.  The same fabric from Porter’s quilt.  It’s perfect for a gender neutral baby and the Stacked Windmills Block leaves lots of white space.  Being able to pull fabrics from the stash felt great.  While this fabric is hard to part with, I know it will be okay.  Use the Good Stuff right?

With it being fall, the colors didn’t come out as well in the pictures.  Even midday it doesn’t look right.  I tried the Autumn filter on my phone and this was the result.

Crazy how the colors look more neon instead more subtle.  For binding I chose my other favorite designer, V Christenson.  It’s a blue floral print that coordinated really well.

The baby was born this week and is a girl.  Now I’m wondering if I should make something else?  NAH.  I’ve got too many other projects in the works.  Trust my first instinct and go with it.

Stacked Windmills is from the Modern Bee book and is available here.
