Yet another quilt made months ago that I never shared. This quilt was finished the morning of delivery and I almost forgot to take pictures. Eek! Thank goodness this brick walk way contrasted the quilt, it was a super dreary day and the colors needed something to stand out on.
Lindsay Conner’s Modern Bee – 13 Quilts to Make with Friends is a staple in my book collection. Mosaic Tiles is one of my favorite patterns since it uses charm squares. The quilt looks harder than it is and that’s why I love it.
Instead of always going to the disappearing nine patch it’s nice to have some variety. Plus with Mosaic Tiles, if it’s not big enough, just put a big chunk of a solid in it. It provides a really nice break in the quilt too.
Sugar Pop backing compliments the front of the quilt. I bought LOTS of yardage at a sale event last year. So glad I did, it’s the backing for a number of quilts. This entire quilt was all stash fabrics.
For quilting it’s simple straight lines in addition to the lines in the solid. Have you made a Mosaic Tiles quilt yet?
