Ladybugs have invaded my sewing space, luckily only on fabric. This project is someone’s first quilt and they are unsure how to quilt it. So I volunteered to do the quilting for them.
The creative roadblock hit pretty quickly. Normally I would opt for just wonky lines but this a larger baby quilt, it could get heavy fast. My free motion quilting skills are not where I want them to be.
More practice is needed. I opted for something classic. Diagonal cross hatches. Not easy always marking the lines, but I love the look.
I had to send hubby to get thread at Jo-Anns. Luckily he picked the green I really wanted…lime. Almost done with the quilting then on to the binding.
