January Fabric Update

It’s February already.  Goodness.  January went quickly with us traveling to CA and PA back to back.  Last night was the first time I really sat down to sew.  Three weeks without my machine has been weird and kind of uncomfortable for me.  It’s hard to admit that you need that regular time for creativity when your schedule is jammed back with other things.  Look for the blog to ramp back up with more posts.  I do have a few things to share.

However, there is one bright spot on this month.  I did not spend any money on fabric.  My $100 budget from my 2016 goal is still in tact.

There is a big sale at a local quilt shop this weekend that will be very tempting and I almost bought some more Lotta Jansdotter fabric from a local swap group.  Going through my stash last night for a bee block I noticed some things I may want to consider stocking up on:

  • low volume prints
  • black and white prints
  • purple
  • yellow
  • orange

Knowing the things that are lacking in my stash makes it easier while shopping to say no to something.
