Baby Girl Quilt WIP

It’s Wednesday and this week has quickly escaped me. This week I started a new role at work. More hours in the office and very detailed work. My brain is exhausted by the end of the day and sewing hasn’t been top of my to do list. You should see the laundry pile.

Currently I’m working on baby girl quilt using just my stash.  Kona solids along with black and white prints started the idea.  These prints were mostly scraps or less than a fat quarter I had stashed away.  As I was cleaning out the backroom I found a bag full of black, white, gray, and neutral scraps.  Let’s put those scraps to use.

The pattern for this quilt will be a tutorial I write here in the near future.  I have another quilt that was the test and another in the works.  It’s simple and a great scrap buster.

Over the weekend I hope to finish this quilt and get sent off a new little sister of an older quilt.  Getting some down time to sew, relax, and see this quilt come together.  The vision has been in my head for a bit.

Luckily, Porter let me arrange these blocks last night.  He thinks mommy always need help with her projects.  Love it, but I don’t.

What are you working on this week?
